Raina's World

In the summer of 2023, I got an opportunity to conduct research under the guidance of Prof. Devavrath Shah at MIT in Cambridge, USA, at the intersection of Data Science and Environmental Science. I used historical energy mix data of various countries to predict their future energy mix and compared this to their stated goals to see how they are tracking against them. I did the same for their carbon emissions. Unsurprisingly, most countries are well behind their targets both on their shift to renewable energy as well as reducing their carbon emissions.
